Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu will take oath as CM of Andhra Pradesh today. TDP, Janasena and BJP have elected Naidu as the leader of the legislative party. Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan has been elected floor leader in the assembly. There is talk that he may become deputy CM.

Naidu will become CM for the fourth time: Naidu will take oath today at 11.27 am. This will be his fourth term as CM. Many big leaders including PM Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony. TDP may get 20, Janasena three and BJP two ministerial posts in Naidu cabinet.

3. Mohan Majhi will be the third tribal CM of Odisha; KV Singhdeo, Prabhati Parida will become deputy CM

Mohan Charan Majhi will take oath as the CM of Odisha at 5 pm today. Majhi has been a BJP MLA four times. Apart from him, Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo and Prabhati Parida will take oath as Deputy CM. PM Modi will also attend the swearing-in ceremony.

Majhi will be the third tribal chief minister of the state. The first tribal CM of Odisha was Hemanand Biswal (7 December 1989 to 4 March 1990) and the second was Giridhar Gamang (17 February 1999 to 6 December 1999). Both were Congress leaders. 23% of Odisha's population is tribal.

Patnaik remained CM for 24 years: Naveen Patnaik resigned on June 5. Patnaik is the second longest serving Chief Minister in the country. He was the Chief Minister for 24 years and 83 days. The first is former Sikkim CM Pawan Chamling (24 years and 165 days).

UGC has approved to start the admission process twice a year in universities and higher education institutes. Now after July, admissions will also take place in January. Campus placement drives will also be held twice a year. The new rule will come into effect from the 2024-25 session.

What will be the benefit of this decision: UGC Chairman Jagdish Kumar said that this decision will benefit those students who miss admission in the July-August session due to delay in board results or any other reason. Opportunities for students will increase and the country's higher education institutions will become of global standard.

It is not mandatory to follow this admission process: It is not mandatory for universities and colleges to conduct biannual admissions. Institutions can start a biannual admission process only if they are ready to manage faculty members, employees, and students.

5. Om Birla can become Lok Sabha Speaker again, Purandeshwari likely to become Deputy Speaker

Om Birla, who won for the third consecutive time from Kota-Bundi seat of Rajasthan, can again become the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. 6. Pre-monsoon rains start in MP-Rajasthan, monsoon will reach Gujarat by June 13

Pre-monsoon rains have started in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan from June 11. The southwest monsoon may reach some parts of South Gujarat between today and June 13. Mumbai has been receiving continuous rain since the entry of monsoon on Sunday (June 9). Monsoon may enter Madhya Pradesh by June 18. Whereas it is expected to reach Rajasthan between June 25 and July 6.

The aircraft was missing since June 10. The Vice President's plane disappeared from the radar on Monday morning, June 10. According to Indian time, it took off from Malawi's capital Lilongwe at 2.47 pm on Monday. It was scheduled to land at the airport in Mzuzu city about 45 minutes later. However, it could not land due to bad weather. After this, the plane was ordered to go back to Lilongwe but it met with an accident.

Oxford University will return 500 year old statue to India

Britain's Oxford University is going to return a 500-year-old bronze statue to India. This 1 meter high statue is of Saint Tirumangai Alwar.
